Cohan, George M(ichael) (1878–1942), U.S. songwriter, actor, composer and producer of popular, patriotic musicals. He is best remembered for hits like “Give My Regards to Broadway,” “You're a Grand Old Flag,” “Yankee Doodle Dandy,” and the popular World War I song “Over There.”
