Clinical psychology



Clinical psychology, scientific and applied branch of psychology concerned with the study, diagnosis, and treatment of individuals with emotional or behavioral disorders. The disorders which may be brief and minor or more prolonged and serious in nature, such as neuroses and psychoses, are diagnosed through testing and treated through psycho therapy. Research serves as a means of discovering or improving on the various methods of diagnosis and treatment.
