Cherimoya



Cherimoya (Annona cherimola), tropical tree native to Peru and Ecuador. It grows to about 25 ft (7.5 m), bearing oval, deciduous alternate leaves about 10 in (25 cm) long. Its round or conical edible fruit is pale green, 5 in (13 cm) long and weighing 1 lb (.45 kg), with an inner white pulp tasting of pineapple and banana. The cherimoya is cultivated in California and Florida.
