Chalcopyrite



Chalcopyrite, most important copper ore. It contains iron and sulfur as well as copper, and has the formula CuFeS2. Chalcopyrite has a yellowish coloration with a metallic luster, though it easily tarnishes to produce iridescent colors. It is found worldwide.
