Cephalopoda



Cephalopoda, class of predatory mollusks including the cuttlefish, octopus, and squid. They swim by forcing a jet of water through a narrow funnel near the mouth. Cephalopods have sucker-bearing arms and a horny beak. The shell, typical of most mollusks, is absent or reduced.
