Gaius Cassius Longinus



Cassius Longinus, Gaius (d. 42 B.C.), Roman general, conspirator to assassinate Julius Caesar in 44 B.C. He fled to Syria and joined Brutus to fight Octavian and Mark Antony at Philippi. Despairing of victory, he committed suicide.
