Mary Cassatt



Cassatt, Mary (1845–1926), U.S.-born impressionist painter who lived mainly in Paris. Strongly influenced by her friend Edgar Degas, she painted domestic scenes, especially mother-and-child studies: “The Cup of Tea” (1879), “The Bath” (1891), “The Boating Party” (1893).
