Caspian Sea



Caspian Sea, world's largest inland sea (143,000 sq mi/370,370 sq km), in the southwestern part of the former USSR and Iran. Tideless, it is 92 ft (28 m) below sea level and fed mainly by the Volga River. Astrakhan and Baku are the main ports. The northern part of the sea produces caviar.
