Carpentry



Carpentry, craft of laying floors, building stairways, and erecting ceiling joists and roof rafters of wood using traditional tools such as the hammer, chisel, pincers, plane, square, plumb line, and tape measure. Modern building techniques have created new applications for carpentry, most notably, the development of wooden molds for casting concrete.
