Glosuè Carducci



Carducci, Glosuè (1835–1907), Italian scholar and patriotic poet. His Hymn to Satan (1863) is an anticlerical political satire; the Barbarian Odes (1877–89) are perhaps his best work. He won the 1906 Nobel Prize for literature.
