Capri

Capri (pop. 7,500), Italian island resort in the Bay of Naples, site of the Villa Iovis of Roman Emperor Tiberius. Capri produces olive oil and wine, but its main industry is tourism. Anacapri, at the island's western end, is approachable from the sea by hundreds of steps, called the “Phoenician Stairs.”
