Canoe

Canoe, long, narrow, lightweight boat used primarily for fishing and recreational activities on lakes and rivers. Originally canoes were made by hollowing out logs and were used for combat as well as transport. Now they are made from canvas, thin wood, and aluminum. In contrast to kayaks, canoes have an uncovered top.
