Book of Kells



Book of Kells, illuminated manuscript of the Gospels dating from the late 8th or early 9th century, probably produced by monks of Kells in County Meath, Ireland. Its rich decoration makes it one of the finest examples of medieval manuscript decoration. It is exhibited in the library of Trinity College, Dublin.
