Bonneville Dam



Bonneville Dam, large hydroelectric dam spanning the Columbia River between Oregon and Washington. It is 2,690 ft (820 m) long, 197 ft (60 m) high, and 1,250 ft (177 m) wide. Built 1933–43 as part of the New Deal Program, it is used for navigation, flood control, and power production.
