Big Bend National Park



Big Bend National Park, tract of mountains and desert on the Texas border with Mexico, in the Big Bend of the Rio Grande River. The park, which covers over 700,000 acres (283,500 hectares), was established in 1944 and is the last great expanse of wild land left in Texas.
