Arnold Bennett



Bennett, Arnold (1867–1931), English novelist, journalist, and play wright. He is famous for his novels set in the potteries of Staffordshire: Anna of the Five Towns (1902), The Old Wives' Tale (1908), and These Twain (1916). He was influenced by Zola's naturalism.
