Peter Behrens



Behrens, Peter (1868–1940), German architect who pioneered a mode of functional design suited to industrial technology. His most influential work was the AEG turbine factory in Berlin (1908–09). He influenced Le Corbusier, Gropius, and Mies van der Rohe.
