Minerva



Minerva, in Roman mythology, daughter of Jupiter. She was modeled on the Greek goddess Athena. Worshiped for her skill in handicrafts as well as for her artistic and intellectual gifts, Minerva came to symbolize military prowess and was often depicted wearing a helmet and suit of armor.
