Maser



Maser, in technology, acronym for Microwave Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation, a device capable of amplifying or generating radio frequency radiation. Maser amplifiers are used in satellite communication ground stations to amplify the extremely weak signals received from communication satellites.
