Mamba

Mamba, any of 4 or 5 species of snakes in the cobra family. Found in sub-Saharan Africa, these aggressive, thin, whip-like snakes can inflict a fatal, poisonous bite to man. Hoodless, unlike the familiar image of a cobra, the green mamba grows to about 9 ft (2.7 m) and the black mamba grows to about 14 ft (4.3 m).
