Magnesia



Magnesia, chemical compound (MgO), also called magnesium oxide. Used in the manufacture of refined metals, crucibles, and materials for insulation, it also has medicinal purposes. Made from magnesia chloride, magnesia is a white, powdery substance that has no taste.
