Rosa Luxemburg

Luxemburg, Rosa (1871–1919), Polish-born German Marxist revolutionary. She was cofounder with Karl Liebknecht of the Spartacus Party, Germany's first Communist party, and editor of their journal, Red Flag. She was killed by soldiers during an uprising in Berlin.
