Robert Lowell



Lowell, Robert (1917–77), U.S. poet and playwright. His collections include the autobiographical Life Studies (1959), and the Pulitzer Prize-winning Lord Weary's Castle (1946) and The Dolphin (1973). His free adaptations of Greek tragedy and European poets brought him acclaim as a translator.
