Lough Neagh



Lough Neagh, lake in Antrim, Northern Ireland. At about 18 mi (29 km) long and 11 mi (18 km) wide, Lough Neagh is the largest lake in the British Isles. Among the wild fowl found on or near the lake is the rare whooper swan. Plentiful in eel, salmon, and trout, the lake is a popular fishing site.
