Henry Lee



Lee, Henry (1756–1818), American cavalry officer in the Revolutionary War (known as “Light Horse Harry”) and father of Confederate Civil War general Robert E. Lee. He was governor of Virginia (1791–94) and a representative in Congress (1799–1801).
