Charles Laughton

Laughton, Charles (1899–1962), English-born actor, a U.S. citizen from 1950. Films include the award-winning The Private Life of Henry VIII (1933), The Hunchback of Notre Dame (1939), and Advise and Consent (1962). He directed Night of the Hunter (1955).
