Kuvasz



Kuvasz, breed of powerful, sturdily built dog. Bred in Hungary, it was popular in the Middle Ages as a guard dog of the nobility. Used now as a shepherd and guard dog, the typical kuvasz has a pure white, mostly short-haired coat, stands 26 in (66 cm), and weighs about 70 lbs (32 kg).
