Krypton



Krypton, gaseous element, symbol Kr; for physical constants see Periodic Table. Krypton was discovered by William Ramsay and M.W. Travers in 1898. It is a colorless, odorless, and chemically inert gas. Krypton is used in certain flash lamps for high-speed photography and some types of electric bulbs.
