Kiwi



Kiwi, 3 species of flightless New Zealand birds (genus Apteryx), about 18 in (46 cm) high, lacking a tail, with gray-brown, hairlike feathers concealing their wings. The long slender bill probes into soil at night for worms, insects, and berries.
