Kittiwake



Kittiwake, small gull (genus Rissa) that nests on narrow cliff ledges around the coasts of the North Atlantic, the North Pacific, and on the islands of the Arctic Ocean. Named for its noisy call, the kittiwake feeds on fish, mollusks, and plankton and flies far out to sea.
