King, Coretta Scott (1927– ), U.S. civil rights leader, widow of Martin Luther King, Jr. As president of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Center for Social Change, she continues the legacy of her late husband's work. She is the author of My Life with Martin Luther King, Jr. (1989).
