Kelp



Kelp, name for various large brown seaweeds of orders Laminariales and Fucales. Edible kelps are rich in iodine, calcium, potassium, and the trace minerals. Dehydrated kelp tablets, powder, and granules are used as a mineral supplement and as a salt substitute.
