Grace Kelly



Kelly, Grace (1929–82), U.S. motion picture actress and, later, Princess of Monaco. Kelly first appeared in the film Fourteen Hours (1951) and her first starring role was opposite Gary Cooper in High Noon (1952). She won an Academy Award for her role in The Country Girl (1954) and appeared in several other films, including Dial M for Murder (1954), To Catch a Thief (1955), and High Society (1956). Kelly married Prince Rainier III of Monaco in 1956. She died in an automobile crash near Monaco.
