Valentin Petrovich Katayev

Katayev, Valentin Petrovich (1897–1987), Russian novelist, poet, and playwright. Among his best-known works are the novels The Embezzlers (1926) and Lonely White Sail (1936), and the farce Squaring the Circle (1928).
