Kara Sea

Kara Sea, branch of the Arctic Ocean about 300 miles (480 km) long and 200 miles (320 km) wide off the north central coast of Siberia. The sea is bounded on the east by the Yamal Peninsula and on the west by the Novaya Zemlya Islands.
