A colleague of Sigmund Freud and author of a comprehensive 3-volume book on him, Jones introduced Freudian theories and principles to the United Kingdom, the United States, and Canada. In 1911 Jones was one of the founders of the American Psychoanalytic Association, and 2 years later he helped establish its British counterpart.
