John Harold Johnson



Johnson, John Harold (1918– ), U.S. publisher of black-interest magazines such as Negro Digest, Ebony, and Jet. He founded the Johnson Publishing Co. in Chicago in 1942. Since 1962 he has also published books directed mainly to black readers.
