Jehoshaphat



Jehoshaphat, king of Judah (r.c.873–849 B.C.). An ally of King Ahab of Israel, Jehoshaphat was the first Judean king to make a treaty with Israel. He reigned during an era of relative peace and solidified his alliance with Israel by having his son, Jehoram, marry the daughter of King Ahab.
