Sir Henry Irving

Irving, Sir Henry (John Henry Brodribb; 1838–1905), greatest English actor-manager of his day. At the Lyceum Theater in London, from 1878 to 1902, he staged spectacular Shakespeare productions, often with Ellen Terry as his leading lady.
