Ibn Khaldun



Ibn Khaldun (1332–1406), Arab historian and sociologist. Muqaddama, the first volume of Ibn Khaldun's Universal History, contains the first attempt to interpret the patterns of history in the purely secular terms of geography, sociology, and allied subjects.
