Hutterites

Hutterites, or Hutterlan Brethren, Protestant sect found primarily in South Dakota, and Canada. Like the Mennonites, they believe in common ownership of goods and are pacifists. The sect originated in 1533 as a branch of the Anabaptists and takes its name from Jacob Hutter, martyred in 1536.
