Hunchback



Hunchback, or kyphosis, deformity of the spine causing bent posture with or without twisting (scoliosis) and abnormal bony prominences. Tuberculosis of the spine may cause sharp angulation, while congenital diseases, ankylosing spondylitis, vertebral collapse, and spinal tumors cause smooth kyphosis.
