Isaac Hull



Hull, Isaac (1773–1843), U.S. naval officer. He was commander, during the War of 1812, of the frigate Constitution (“Old Ironsides”), which defeated the British frigate Guerrière. He later commanded the Pacific Squadron (1824–27) and the Mediterranean Squadron (1838–41).
