Homo habilis

Homo habilis, oldest species of human being yet discovered, believed to have lived in Africa about 2 million years ago, probably the first known human to make stone tools. The brain of Homo habilus seems to have been about half the size of the modern human brain. Fossil discoveries in Kenya suggest that Homo habilis, like apes, spent a great deal of time in trees.
