Hippocrates



Hippocrates (c.460–c.377 B.C.), Greek physician often called the father of medicine. He was probably the author of the Hippocratic Collection, some 70 books on all aspects of ancient medicine. The Hippocratic Oath, a statement of medical ethics and good practice, is still sworn to by graduates of many medical schools.
