Conrad Nicholson Hilton



Hilton, Conrad Nicholson (1887–1979), U.S. hotel chain founder. Beginning with his first hotels in New Mexico and Texas, Hilton expanded his holdings to most major U.S. and foreign cities and resort areas. By 1967 Hilton hotels were in 37 nations, and the international operation of the company became a subsidiary of Trans World Airlines (TWA).
