Hezekiah

Hezekiah (d. c.686 B.C.), Judean king (c.715–c.686 B.C.). He defied the Assyrian army under Sennacherib, which besieged Jerusalem (701 B.C.). With the prophets Micah and Isaiah as his advisers, Hezekiah removed idols from the Holy Temple and restored the temple's status as the focal point for Jewish religious worship.
