Angelina Emily Grimké



Grimké, Angelina Emily (1805–79) and Sarah Moore (1792–1873), sisters, U.S. abolitionists and women's rights crusaders. Angelina's An Appeal to the Christian Women of the South and Sarah's An Epistle to the Clergy of the Southern States (both 1836) urged opposition to slavery.
