Lady Gregory



Gregory, Lady (1859–1932), Irish dramatist and director, responsible for the production of Yeats's and Synge's plays at the famous Abbey Theatre in Dublin. Her plays include Spreading the News (1904), The Rising of the Moon (1907), and The White Cockade (1908). She wrote Our Irish Theatre (1913), on the Irish renaissance.
