Graz



Graz (pop. 237,800), second largest city in Austria, capital of the province of Styria, located on the Mur River. The city was founded around the 12th century. Local industry produces iron and steel products, leather, paper, and textiles. Graz has a 15th-century cathedral, the Johanneum museum, and the Schlossberg castle.
